‘Beyond Grief’ by Gordon Thornett for a cappella choir and soprano soloist

This short a cappella setting of a poignant poem by Julie M Myers has just become available on the J W Pepper website. Ideally suited for a good chamber choir with a high soprano soloist, it conjures up a journey from darkness to light, from despair to hope, and this is reflected in the music, which should be performed simply, but with expressiveness and conviction.
