Bereavement support song

June 29, 2020 by Tina Heidrich Leave a Comment

Dear Colleagues,

I recently lost my mother and have been attending attending virtual bereavement support meetings offered by Hospice. At the end of the sessions, they usually read a poem or a prayer.

One was entitled “Do Not Hurry as You Walk With Grief”. It really struck me personally and so I set it to music.

If you are interested, here is a web directory of the music: it contains pdf’s of a unison version and an SATB version – along with mp3’s of both (with synthesized voices) and the accompaniment alone.

The author is unknown and I did not copyright the music.

Please feel free to use this if you have need or pass along to any of your colleagues/churches.

There is no cost – but please let me know if you intend to use it.

Many thanks.
