Beijing Philharmonic Choirs win Singing World Competition

In the Yuri Falik International Contest of Choral and Vocal Ensembles (named for the famed St. Petersburg composer), 25 choirs had to compete for  the best in technical and artistic performance and overall presentation of the program ( Repertoire, difficulty of the performance, general impression) in only 12 minutes! The big winners of this year’s competition were the outstanding performances of Beijing Philharmonic Chorus, children’s choir, female choir, winning the grand prix, children’s choir category and female choir category respectively. In addition there were special prizes for best presentations of modern music, best performance of a St. Petersburg composer’s works, best folkloric performance, best soloist, best conductor and more.
