BARRY, WALES, UK — BARRY Choral Society’s new conductor is Thomas Morgan. In 2010 Thomas graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, having studied composition with Dr Robert Spearing, winning the Barry Choral Society Composition Prize (2008, 2010) and the Elgar Society Prize (2007).
Between 2007 and 2011 he was also director of music at The Church of St Andrew and St Teilo in Cathays, Cardiff. Prior to this he studied music at the University of Salford with Prof David King and Prof Peter Graham, where he played percussion for a number of leading brass bands.
