The Shrewsbury Chorale, a Jersey Shore-based chamber ensemble, is seeking singers in all voice parts. Known for an eclectic set of repertoire, especially featuring living composers, we are reinventing ourselves post-pandemic.
For our December 10th concert, the Shrewsbury Chorale will sing works of Sarah Quartel, Michael John Trotta, Nicholas Myers, and more. In March, we sing Gwyneth Walker’s “The Golden Harp” along with some choral favorites by Palestrina and Paulus, and in June, we will present Gorecki’s “Broad Waters” and an interesting set of madrigals and Sacred Harp arrangements.
We rehearse on Tuesday evenings in the St. Andrew’s Room of Tower Hill Church in Red Bank, NJ from 7:30 pn – 9:30 pm. For more information or to arrange an audition, please reach out to the Musical Director, Fiona Smith Sutherland or learn more on our website shrewsburychorale.org.
