COLUMBUS, GA — Forty years ago when Prophecy ’72 went on tour, member Janie Entrekin Brooks did not get to perform. She was sick and found it difficult to open her mouth without coughing so she just stood on the stage with the others in the youth choir and did not sing a note.
Karen Spears Zacharias didn’t get to sing on most of the tour, either. A snake bite she received on the first day kept her sidelined. They got to sing Sunday.
Both Brooks and Zacharias were among 23 members of the 36-person choir that entertained at Rose Hill Baptist Church in Columbus, celebrating both a 40-year reunion and the church’s homecoming.
