McKnight Composer Fellowships: American Composers Forum seeks applications, including work samples and artist statements, from mid-career music creators living in Minnesota with a Social Security Number or US Tax ID (such as an ITIN). Four selected composers will each receive $25,000 in unrestricted funds, $3,500 to develop works in progress, the opportunity to attend an artist residency, and the opportunity to present their work as part of an ACF-produced showcase event. McKnight Visiting Composer Residencies: American Composers Forum seeks applications from mid-career music creators outside Minnesota with a Social Security Number or US Tax ID (such as an ITIN). This opportunity includes project proposals for residencies that are integrated with Minnesota communities in a unique way. Two music creators will each receive $10,000 to realize their proposals, plus a $3,000 stipend for travel and lodging expenses, and will spend about 30 days in Minnesota over an 18-month period. - The Visiting Composer Residency is open to international applicants based in the US and abroad. Applicants are responsible for obtaining any necessary immigration documentation for an artist residency in Minnesota in order to receive the award
- ABD candidates are eligible. Low-Residency MFA students, and Ph.D. and DMA candidates who have completed all requirements except their dissertation, are not considered “full-time” students.
