acceptance

October 20, 2010 by Thomas Keesecker Leave a Comment

I’ve written a new anthem I’d like to sell. This is the first time I’ve tried this route. My anthems are published by Augsburg Fortress, MorningStar, Concordia and others but I’d like to see if there is any interest in this method. Here’s  the text:

acceptance

Acceptance, acceptance, for all of God’s children.
Acceptance, acceptance, let all of God’s children be clothed in light.
We are created in God’s holy image,
Called by Christ to share mercy and peace.
Acceptance, acceptance, for all of God’s children now.
Now is the time, let justice reign.
Why do we arm ourselves with hate?
Come, loving Spirit, teach us how to live.

Acceptance, acceptance, for all of God’s children.
Acceptance, acceptance, let all of God’s children be clothed in light.
Transform this kingdom, open up our hearts,
May we love as Christ taught us to love.
Acceptance, acceptance, for all of God’s children now.
Hear now our prayer, we stand in need.
Heal all our hurtful words and deeds.
Come, loving Spirit, make us one in you.

It’s scored in a soft pop style for SATB, piano, guitar and trumpet (Bb and C parts included)
I’ll send a PDF for you to look over. If you decide to use it pay me a $1 for every copy you print off. We’ll use an honor system.
Thanks,
Tom Keesecker
