LONDON, UK — When you think of a choir, most people would think of hymns being sung inside a church every Sunday.
But at West London Community Choir, things are a little different. They may rehearse in a church, but that has no reflection on how and what they perform, as Emma Heseltine found out.
In the heart of Notting Hill is St Peter’s Church – a yellow building that dominates the streetscape where it sits. It is normally home to a variety of events and services, but on Monday evenings, it is taken over by West London Community Choir, which uses its vast nave as a rehearsal space.
