Celebrating a late Epiphany

February 6, 2019 by ACDA Leave a Comment

This week on GBW and ACDA Radio/ChoralNet Host Stan Schmidt initiates a Celebration of a Late Epiphany.  Included in the parade of composers is JohnRutter, Gottfried Stölzel, Jonathan Dove, Peter Cornelius, Michael Head, Michael Pretorius, Hector Berlioz and Johann Sebastian Bach.   You will enjoy such ensembles The Cambridge Singers, The North Germany Radio Choir, that very musical choral sound from Westminster Abbey, Vivo Voce from Germany, the Gächinger Kantorei with the Bach Collegium of Stuttgart and finally the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and Choir with sounds from their magnificent recording of L’Enfance du Christ.  The music creates a very moving approach to the Epiphany season with wonderful memories that continue the joy of the season.  This visit is special and will leave you feeling excited about what you do and ready for the ACDA Convention in Kansas City.

For a look at the CD”s used and a complete list of music heard, go to the blog of WWW.GOINGBEYONDWORDS  website and click on  show 2518
