Chair for Seated Conducting

Dear Friends,
Because of a recently diagnosed heart condition, I find myself in the market for a tall chair or stool from which to conduct rehearsals, so I'm reaching out for some advice.  I've seen several models online, including a pretty expensive chair from Wenger, but I'd like to benefit from the forum's collective experience - have you used a model that you would recommend?  I'd like it to be as tall as possible - I'm 6' 3" and am rather used to looking at the choir from that vantage point, so I'd like to find a stool that allowed me not to lose any height when I'm seated.  Also, If any of you are in the Seattle area and have a gently used stool you'd be interested in selling, please let me know.
All the best,
Dave Gardner

hi - I've use this one from IKEA for almsot 10 years, I actually have one for each choir/location I work with. Very solid and can likely be painted.
Easy to transport in the car too.
I like to hook my heels on the lower bar.

hello Dave
i just ordered a new Wenger conductors chair, and it has provided my choir with much amusement while I try to get on and off it.  It is rather uncomfortable:  the old one was padded better.   I can't seem to get comfortable on it, and it is complicated with at least 3 levers.  I rather miss my old one.  It sits in the corner, still works but its gotten rickety so it had to go.   The Wenger was mucho bucks too.   I only use it for really long rehearsals.  Good luck!
