My name is Scott Fields Davis. I am a choral composer. Like any other composer, one of my desires is to hear my music performed. I’ve never had the opportunity to be present during a performance of any of my compositions nor have been given a recording of such a performance. So I’ve decided to record my music myself. I’ve decided to put together a choir. I’m putting together a virtual choir.
What is a virtual choir? A virtual choir is a choir made up of individual singers who, on their own time and in the privacy of their own home, record their individual vocal part. After each singer records his/her part it is synchronized with the other recordings to produce one single performance. This allows people to participate regardless of location or time restraints.
Here’s how it works. Join the Facebook group “SFD virtual choir” and send me an email at . I will send you a PDF of the score and an mp3 of your part. Then, just sing along with your part while recording yourself.
