Consortio, the revolutionary consortium marketplace offering composers’ not-yet-written ideas to directors and ensembles of all sizes and scopes, will focus on an upcoming project every week throughout the summer. This week’s spotlight is on Paul John Rudoi’s “Two Old Crows,” which will be an exciting work made in three voicings (TBarB, and SSA) with piano and fiddle.
About the proposed work, Paul says he “absolutely love(s) this poem, and I’ve been itching to set another text about animals after my setting of Richard Shelton’s brilliant “If I Were a Dog,” currently available for the same set of voicings with piano. This piece will be fun, cheeky, and accessible, and you’ll get two versions (TBarB and SSA) for the price of one consortium slot. I’m excited to see it come to life!”
The project’s buy-in price is $350 per ensemble with a funding deadline on July 8th and a score delivery of August 15. Join other ensembles today and make this project a reality!
Consortio is making commissioning easier, more accessible, and more impactful for all involved. Most of the consortium projects on Consortio cost only a fraction more than the purchase of a set of octavos, so a new music experience is available to nearly everyone.
