“Alzheimer’s Stories,” the Robert S. Cohen and Herschel Garfein work for soloists, chorus and ensemble (also piano) based on stories from friends and families of Alzheimer’s patients, originally commissioned by the Susquehanna Valley Chorale, will be receiving a number of performances by U.S. based choirs over the next month. This weekend, it will be performed by both the Sacramento Master Singers and Buffalo Philharmonic Chorus. In April, it will receive it’s Northwest U.S. premiere by Festival Chorale Oregon. The work which was one of the featured pieces at the 2019 ACDA Conference in Kansas City, conducted by Andre Thomas, focuses on the power of music to bring healing to those affected by this horrible disease. “Love and Music are the last things to go… sing anything.” For further information about arranging a performance, you can contact the publisher, Edition Peters, or the composer.
