Dr Christos Stavrinides
Christos is a music composer and arranger. In 1997 he graduated from Berklee College of Music (BMus, Summa Cum Laude) in Contemporary Writing and Production. In 2001 he got his Master’s Degree (MA) from Bristol University in Composition for Film, Television and Theatre. In 2011 he became Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) from the University of Sheffield. His thesis dealt with film music, gender and national identity. Christos is an active composer since 1997 and since then has composed music for theater (for all the theatrical organizations in Cyprus), film, television and multimedia. He collaborated with various choirs including three concerts with the Cultural Movement “Epilogi” (2016-17), arranging for women’s, mixed children and mixed adult choirs and large scale ensemble. One of his compositions for women’s choir will be performed by Cantus Novus Femina in International Choir Festival Europa Cantat XX Tallinn 2018.
