The Angeles Chorale is currently seeking new singers to join our all-volunteer, professional-level, 100-voice choir. We are auditioning for all parts, especially male voices.

Auditions – Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus

LOOKING FOR ALL VOICES

Heartland Voices, Elgin’s premiere choral chamber ensemble, announces auditions for their 2016 concert season. There are openings in the soprano, alto, tenor and bass sections. Any experienced choral singer looking for an excellent choir with which to sing should consider auditioning.

Heartland Voices consists of professional and professionally trained singers from the greater Chicago area committed to excellence in choral performance. They are led by Dr. John G. Slawson, Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Elgin Community College, and accompanied by Dr. Paul J. Satre, Professor of Music at Trinity International University and principal organist at the Moody Church of Chicago.

Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus Recruitment Events

The Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus will be holding a Recruitment Event for prospective members during Karaoke Night at Flex Nightclub, 2 S West St, Raleigh, NC 27603 on Tuesday, January 5 from 9:00 – 11:00 pm.

And also at Karaoke Night at The Bar, 711 Rigsbee Ave, Durham, NC 27701 on Thursday, January 7 from 9:00 – 11:00 pm. 

Openings in all sections!

Drop by, meet some of the guys, get information about the Chorus, and sing a few tunes. We look forward to seeing you there. It should be a fun time for all!

 

We will also be having open rehearsals every Thursday evening during January from 7:30 – 9:45 pm beginning on Thursday, January 14 in the Choir Room at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church, 1801 Hillsborough St, Raleigh 27605.

Auditions for Valley Concert Chorale’s 2016 Season

 

Livermore, Calif. – The Valley Concert Chorale, the Tri-Valley’s premier chorus, is now scheduling appointments for auditions for singers who would like to be a part of the Chorale’s 2016 season.  Auditions will be held on the following dates:
 
Mondays, January 11 and 18

 
Auditions and rehearsals are held at the First Presbyterian Church of Livermore. The church is located at 2020 Fifth Street.
 
The Chorale is seeking experienced singers with sight-reading skills who enjoy singing exciting and challenging music. The Chorale performs a wide variety of music ranging from classical to contemporary, and folk to jazz. To schedule an appointment, call (925) 736-9731.
 
The Chorale’s 52nd concert season will feature the following performances and events:

John Rutter’s Requiem and Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms – March
Salute to America’s musical greats, with songs by Aaron Copland, Alice Parker, Robert Shaw and others.

For over 50 years, the Valley Concert Chorale is the Tri-Valley’s premier chorus. Under the direction of John Emory Bush, the Chorale has offered a variety of musical performances to serve the diverse musical tastes of its audiences.
 
Valley Concert Chorale’s mission is to engage audiences in the transforming power of music by sharing their passion and joy in live performance. They are dedicated to excellence in singing choral music of all genres, nurturing the next generation of singers, and supporting musical endeavors in the Tri-Valley community.
 
The all-volunteer, non-profit chorale receives financial support from grants, ticket sales, membership dues, fundraisers and donations.
 
About the Director

John Emory Bush has been the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Valley Concert Chorale since 1998.  He holds a Master’s degree from the Juilliard School of Music and is also trained as a pianist, organist and harpist. He was Music Director and Conductor of the San Francisco Concert Chorale for eighteen seasons and Director of Music and Organist at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Cathedral in Dallas from 2000-2010.  Mr. Bush is Music Director of Music and Organist at First United Methodist Church, McKinney, Texas.  For the past fifteen years, Mr. Bush has divided his time between the Bay Area and Dallas, contributing to both musical communities.
