Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church, Houston, TX announces an immediate opening for a Tenor section leader. As the Principal Church for the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter, Our Lady of Walsingham possesses the equivalent status of a cathedral and thus an important emphasis is placed on sacred music which reflects the highest quality. Repertoire spans a wide range of historical periods with a focus on Renaissance polyphony and music of the English cathedral tradition. Candidates should possess excellent skills in sight-reading, vocal production, choral blend and general musicianship. Understanding and appreciation for Catholic liturgy as well as familiarity with Anglican and Gregorian chant is expected. Must be able to work well in collaboration with both professional and volunteer singers. Regular schedule includes Wednesday evening rehearsals and two Sunday Masses. First Parish UU Church in Lexington, MA is seeking a paid staff tenor for the sanctuary choir. The church has a very exciting and dynamic, growing music program. The position begins on January 6, 2016. Pay is competitive and good sight reading skills are important. The choir sings diverse music including traditional, classical, early music, gospel, spirituals, world music and other genres. The choir sings from early September till mid June, normally 3 Sundays per month. Must have transportation to Lexington, Ma. (No publice transportation on Sundays). Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:30 PM and there is a 10:30 AM Sunday morning service with a 9:45 AM warm-up. Looking for a choir director to direct small choir (10 -15 members) Work with the Music Director and Pastor to select music. Must have ability to Instruct and conduct the choir during church services. .Familiairty with the Catholic Liturgy a plus but not required.

St. Andrew United Methodist Church of Plano, TX immediately seeks four staff singers, one in each section. Our ideal candidates would have:
- good sight reading skills
- the ability to blend
- an appreciation for a variety of styles, all under the traditional worship umbrella
- a desire to contribute as a soloist in worship, or for weddings and funerals (additional pay).
A weekly schedule includes a Wednesday night rehearsals, two Sunday morning services, and an occasional Saturday evening service. Each “call” pays, and additional rehearsals for seasonal activities – such as Holy Week, Easter, Christmas – pay extra.
Our volunteer choir is large, warm and friendly, and adept, but could use the anchor of a staff singer in all four sections. While these are paid positions, a desire to belong and produce with, and not for, is highly sought.
