We’re beginning the planning for a big event next summer – 150 Voices for Canada’s 150th anniversary. Our choir is 40 adults and we’re in rural New Brunswick, Canada. We plan to invite area choirs to join with us for a concert – each choir singing a few Canadian pieces and then several songs altogether in a 150-voice mass choir.
We’re considering outdoor venues in our village. Does anyone have experience with this type of event and might make suggestions, particularly about staging, sound shells/tent/in front of building, amplification, etc?
We will be applying for government grant funding and doing fund-raising. Other participating choirs will work with us.
