I’m doing an upcoming concert on composers who lived their lives in Vienna and I’d like to include “Veni Creator Spiritus” by Antonio Salieri. The challenge is that I can’t find a copy (much less instrument parts) anywhere. I’ve looked on CPDL, Bärenreiter, Carus, Schirmer, jwpepper, and sheetmusicplus (as well as the odd bottomless clickbait). I’m perfectly happy paying for copies, but I’m running out of ideas of where to look. An SATB arrangement with strings parts available of “An der schöne blauen Donau Op. 314” by Johann Strauss, Jr. has also been giving me fits.
Hopefully, there is a great warehouse that everyone knows about but me! My last ditch is seeing if there is something to borrow from the Westminster Choir College Performance collection, but I’d really rather not borrow if I can help it. Looking forward to hearing from you!

I have no records of Salieri’s “Veni Creator Spiritus.” However, my notes from 40 years ago indicate that a “Veni SANCTE Spiritus” by Salieri was edited for piano and choir by Louis Dité, published under the title “2 Inni Di Pentecoste” by G. Ricordi & Co., Ltd (prob. 1959), and distributed by Belwin-Mills Pub. Corp. in New York. The University of Maryland has a copy according to
Hope that helps!

Well, would you look at that. Right you are! This is why one should never be trying to do their pre-season edition hunts while watching their 3yr old and 1yr old. Unfortunately for Antonio’s legacy, most Salieri searches ultimately leads one to pages about Mozart (Thank you Amadeus), and I must’ve just gotten lost somewhere along the way. I will give Ricordi a look and reach out to University of Maryland if needed.
Thank you very much for your help (and prompt response)!

If you’re looking for pieces by Salieri, there’s always my edition of his “Gloria et Honor”, published by Alliance Music publications (AMP 1064). Here’s a link to it on the Alliance site:
