Quality Public Domain Music for Community Choir Holiday Concert
I am in need of assistance please! My choir is running extremely short on funds and I am not able to order the music that I had hoped for our December concert. It is for this reason that I am seeking any suggestions of free music that has some sort of theme. I was considering carols, […]
Settings of texts by St. Francis of Assisi

Balancing Sightreading and Rote Learning within Concert Songs
How do you balance rote learning and sightreading within regular concert literature? Is there a system that you like? Advocacy for music programs in the public school systems!
I am a music education major. I am creating lesson plans to teach students ways to advocate for the music programs during a time of a declining economy and many budget cuts. If anyone has any ideas of ways to persuade non-music individuals, I would love to hear all opinions!
I want to go to the 2010 National ACDA Conference in Chicago but I’m lacking the money!
Does anyone know of any grants or scholarships that could help in funding a trip to the National ACDA Convention? Also, I remember there being an article in the Choral Journal about writing grants to go to conferences, but which month and year was it? Does anyone have a grant they have written […]
