This position would require availability on Thursday evenings (7:30 pm-9:00 pm), Sunday mornings (10:30 warmup/11:00 pm service), and for additional special services during Advent and Holy Week. The choir sings from September through June. Good sight reading skills, a Christian faith, ability to help lead and encourage volunteer singers, and choral singing experience is required. St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Wallingford, CT is currently seeking soprano, alto, and tenor choral scholars to sing in our adult choir. The choir sings from September to June and breaks for the summer. Responsibilities will include attending weekly rehearsals on Thursday from 7 – 9 pm and Sunday morning worship which starts at 9:30 am. Compensation is $25 per call. The position is open to any student in high school, college or graduate school. Opportunities for solos and student conducting will be available throughout the season. This is an excellent opportunity for student singers to expand their choral repertoire, and gain professional singing experience with a highly skilled choir.

Philadelphia Voices of Pride (PVOP) is seeking a conducting intern to start September 24th. PVOP is a self-affirming Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allied friends vocal ensemble devoted to enhancing the musical, educational, and cultural life of the Philadelphia area. PVOP rehearses on Tuesday evenings at the William Way Center, located at 1315 Spruce St., from 7:30-10pm. We sing a varied repertoire from classical music to modern pop and world music.
Responsibilities: Assisting in warm-ups and sectionals, preparing and conducting a piece for the concert, attending board meetings (optional), running rehearsal in the absence of the artistic director, and some small administrative tasks.
Qualifications: Must hold or be in the process of acquiring a degree in music.
A travel stipend will be offered.
This is a one year appointment and would end in June.
The intern will report to Daniel Schwartz, Artistic Director.
