Sunday, May 26 at 3pm: The Saint Louis Chamber Chorus concludes it 63rd season with a program titled HOPE. Performed in the sanctuary of Temple Shaare Emeth (Creve Coeur), the repertoire includes Britten’s Flower Songs, Milhaud’s Cantate de la Paix, and Williams Schuman’s Mail Order Madrigals. Other composers represented include Richard Rodney Bennett, Clare Maclean and Salamone Rossi. The climax of the program will be a new piece from Swedish composer Mårten Jansson, who has collaborated with American poet, Charles Anthony Silvestri, to create the part-song, “Hope.” Both Jansson & Silvestri will fly to St. Louis for the premiere. Meet and greet them at the reception that follows the concert.
