March 19, 2020 (From a PDF letter)
The reality of our day-to-day life is changing quickly and we hope you are all safe and well.
As many of you chart the unfamiliar territory of digital lesson planning and distance learning, teaching your own children at home, social distancing, and so many other changes, we want you to know that GIA is here to help.
If you have the necessary materials for regular classroom use from GIA, please feel free to put them into the format you need for your students’ distance learning purposes without worrying about securing additional permissions from GIA. We only ask that as you put together PDFs and other handouts for your students, you include the relevant copyright information.
Currently we are working to create digital versions of more of our resources for ease of access. In the meantime, our customer service department and warehouse is still open and ready to serve you.
In addition, please connect with our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/GIAMusicEd/) where we will post ideas and resource recommendations related to music education. We encourage you to reach out to your colleagues and students for support, suggestions, and to continue to make music!
