The Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus announces auditions for experienced singers. Vaccinations required. Concerts for the coming year include our always popular Holiday Pops Concert in December, and a performance of British composer James Whitbourn’s moving dramatic cantata Annelies, the first major choral setting of The Diary of Anne Frank, performed in honor of Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, in April. Auditions will be held on September 10 and 11 at the Center for the Visual and Performing Arts on Ridge Road in Munster. Singers’ ranges will be checked and sight-reading and aural abilities will be tested. The Chorus rehearses on Tuesday evenings, beginning on September 28. Masks will be required and provided. Please call Tammie Miller (219) 836-0525x 203 to schedule an audition time.
The chorus rehearses weekly under the direction of Dr. Nancy Menk, and performs regularly with both the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and the New Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Kirk Muspratt.
