Going Beyond Words w/ Stan Schmidt
Show 2322 – A Passion Master Piece

This week on Going Beyond Words and ACDA Radio, Host Stan Schmidt continues with some interesting listening with two versions of Ave Verum Corpus, one by Francis Poulenc and the other by Mozart.    Then for the first time, music from a new CD titled “Far In the Heavens – The Choral Music of Stephen Paulus” offered by the True Concord Voices and Orchestra from Arizona led by Eric Holton.   This Disc, in part, contains seven pieces called  “Prayers and Remembrances” that commemorates the 9/11 tragedy and lets you hear Music recorded under the supervision of Stephen Paulus a short time before a stroke silenced the prolific and Beloved American Composer.  From that set we examine “Lord, Make me an Instrument of your Piece” for Choir and Orchestra.      As a fitting close with to this broadcast you can recall a Passion Masterpiece…the Famous Requiem by Maurice Duruflé with the Ambrosian Singers with Michel Legrand on the Podium.

For a look at the CD’s used and a complete list of the music heard go to the blog of WWW.GOINGBEYONDWORDS.COM website and click on show 2322
