Andrew Minear is the Director of Choral Activities at Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando. Previous teaching and choral directing experience includes middle school, children’s choir, community choir, and both youth and adult church choirs. Currently, Mr. Minear is serving as the Women’s Choirs Repertoire and Standards Chair for Florida ACDA. He has formerly served as state R & S Chair for Senior High Choirs and Children’s Choirs, District 8 Chair for the Florida Vocal Association, coordinated district and state honor choirs, and served on the Orange County Choral Leadership and Curriculum Writing Teams. His most influential teachers include Judy Bowers, Roy Delp, Rodney Eichenberger, Scott Evans, Kevin Fenton, Trey Jacobs, Cliff Madsen, Carolyn Minear, Trent Patterson, Murray Summerville, and André Thomas. Choirs under his direction have been selected for the FMEA All-State Clinic/ Conference, State, Division, and National level Conferences for the American Choral Directors Association, and have consistently received Superior Ratings at District and State Music Performance Assessments. He is a frequent honor choir clinician, conference presenter, and adjudicator. Mr. Minear received his MME and BME from the Florida State University. ChoralNet Communities |
