Brenda Kayne is a composer who for the past twenty-five years has had a private voice studio and has led music ministries in mainstream Protestant churches and interfaith settings in Ohio, West Virginia, Kansas, Northern Virginia, and Texas. She has studied music at Bethany College (WV), Carnegie-Mellon University, East Carolina University, Duke University, The George Washington University, and the University of Texas in Austin. She has been composing throughout her career as a voice teacher and choir director and welcome all to visit her website, www.songsforall.com where she offers free downloads of her music.

The site includes representative works of the composer, although her work is evolving. The composer is happy to discuss with you other songs she has composed that are not posted. Most pieces are interfaith or secular for choirs, choirs and instrumentalists, small ensemble, small ensemble and instruments, and solos. The style is classically based with much influence from folk traditions and jazz inflections.

The composer is available for commissioned work. Her most recent commissions have been for a women's conference in the Congo, for an exhibition opening at a university art museum in Ohio, the dedication of a stained glass church window in West Virginia, and a fifteen minute work for concert band and choir for an anniversary of a University in Arkansas.
