"I've never been to a concert like this, before. It was so spiritual." A kind audience member said after 'Songs of Hope" - the Heritage Singers of Jacksonville's 2014 Spring program.
Join us for the last concert in this season: 'Songs of Hope, to heal the troubled soul'. This program features songs in a wide variety of styles and traditions, all intended to bless and nourish anyone suffering from a "dis-ease" of any and all manner. It is our most popular series to date. Solos from Linda Andrews and Ana Lugo, Michael Dell conducts this 35 voice choral ensemble, now considered one of the most sophisticated in Northeast Florida. Their mission is to celebrate our diverse heritages through innovative and thematic choral music. That means performing a mixture works centered around a single theme over 2 seasons - a Spring and Holiday suite of concerts.
The Spring 2014 season centers around the concept of HOPE. While there are sacred works, the balance with secular songs both known and unfamiliar brings surprising inspiration.
