“MUSIC MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND”

a musical exchange trip in partnership with

CorHabana Choral Festival ~ Havana, Cuba

June 26 ~ July 6, 2014 (11 days/10 nights)

Join us for a trip of a lifetime!

Experience the art, culture, and natural beauty that make Cuba so captivating...and meet and collaborate with choral Directors and singers of the highest caliber from Cuba, Canada, Germany, France, Norway, Sweden, Venezuela and more!

The “Music Makes the World Go Round” musical exchange trip will begin 5 days prior to the CorHabana Festival. We will be greeted at Havana’s Jose Marti Airport by an English-speaking Havanatur travel guide, then whisked away in a private coach to begin our Cuba adventure!

We’ll spend 2 days visiting tobacco farm country, a cigar factory, coffee plantation ruins, and an eco-community, nestled in the breath-taking landscape of Cuba’s western provinces. Then we’ll return to Havana to enjoy the richness and vibrancy of the city that is like no other!

The 11th CorHabana Choral Festival (July 1-5, 2014) is hosted by Cuba’s Center for National Concert Music, along with Digna Guerra, Director of Cuba’s prestigious National Chorus. The theme for this year’s festival is choral music of the Romantic period.

Director Martin Winkler from Germany will lead daily morning workshops. Each afternoon there will be performances by different choral groups in important historical sites and cathedrals in Havana. Make new connections and friendships with singers from around the world! All participants will celebrate and perform together in a final concert. Evenings will be free to enjoy each others’ company and explore the culture, music, and night-life of Havana!
