St Peter’s Singers of Leeds present a special commemorative programme at the outset of the First World War Centenary year of music drawn in the main from the Edwardian period and the years of the both World Wars at Leeds Town Hall on Monday lunchtime 17 February at 1.05 pm.
Anthems and other sacred music by Alan Gray, Herbert Howells, Gustav Holst, John Ireland and E W Naylor – much of the music but rarely heard today – form the background of this lunchtime concert. David Houlder is at the Town Hall Organ.
