THE ARKANSAS CHAMBER SINGERS
The Arkansas Chamber Singers (ACS) is an auditioned vocal ensemble dedicated to enriching the lives of the people of Arkansas by performing and promoting the fi nest in classical choral repertoire. The ACS present a yearly subscription series at several venues in Little Rock and around the state. A new holiday tradition began in 2012 with the ACS singing a free concert series at the Arkansas Old State House Museum on the Arkansas River. Since 1980 the ensemble has commissioned works by noted composers Stephen Paulus, David Dickau, and Gwyneth Walker. The Arkansas Chamber Singers sang during both inaugural celebrations for President Bill Clinton and has performed with the Arkansas Symphony presenting many of the most important choral/orchestra repertoire. In May 2013, ACS presented Mozart’s Requiem and will sing Verdi’s Requiem and Haydn’s Theresien Mass in 2014 with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
