A 4th of July Virtual National Anthem Sing
Date: July 3, 2012
Join me on July 4 along with the combined choirs of our US Military singing "The Star-Spangled Banner". Forward this video* to your singing friends, choir members, relatives....anyone that would like to sing along with our US national choral treasures, the Navy Sea Chanters, Army Chorus, Army Soldiers' Chorus, Air Force Singing Sergeants, and Washington based military color guard. Turn up the volume and sing with this historic gathering:
O say can you see by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
*Recorded on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at the American Choral Directors Association/Library of Congress symposium on American choral music.
