Stuart Milk, Diageo Amercias and Bay Area Reporter honored with SFGMC Champion Award and Dear Harvey Unveiled

San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus Scores With Crescendo!
San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus hit a fervent Crescendo at the Chorus’ annual gala held at the Four Seasons Hotel, San Francisco, raising $93,000 to support local community organizations and schools with music education.
SFGMC board president, Michael Tate, unveiled Dear Harvey, We’ve Got Hope: a global performance art initiative celebrating the life and legacy of Harvey Milk.
Teddy Witherington, SFGMC Executive Director, presented the Chorus’ inaugural Champion Awards to; Stuart Milk (Human Rights Champion) for his work in continuing his uncle’s dream; Diageo Americas (Corporate Champion) accepted by Pip Jones; and, the Bay Area Reporter (Media Champion) accepted by Publisher Thomas Horn and editor Cynthia Laird.
Presented by Diageo Chateau and Estate Wines, produced by Leftwich Event Specialists, led by co-chairs Paul Olsen and Sean Livingston, and featuring catering delights by Joshua Charles, the event was also supported by Diamond Underwriters: Wildcat Cove Foundation and Michael Levy & Michael Golden, and sponsors: Ketel One Vodka, Bulleit Bourbon, Leftwich Event Specialists, the Four Seasons Hotel and Barefoot Wine and Bubbly.
Glorious entertainment featuring the Lollipop Guild, Vocal Minority and Countertenor, Jacques Snyman, dazzled the gathering made up of 230 forever fans of the Chorus: including SFGMC artistic director, Dr. Timothy Seelig & Shawn Northcutt, Bevan Dufty, Sean Livingston, Paul Olsen & Mark Burns, Trudi & Kevin Loscotoff, Michael Levy & Michael Golden, Rene Alvarez, Sal Baglieri, Peter Cirincione, Michael Bankert, Daniel Powell, Cynthia Cooper, Kevin Jones, Gregory Sandritter, Steve Gallagher, Bob Hermann & Dan Joraanstad, Sam Leftwich, Thom Masat & Mike Moser, Christiaan McEwen & Bradly Alford, John Osthaus, Eddie Reynolds & Ed Jones, and Teddy Witherington & Robert Basham.
