Choral Music Rentals

I have a friend that is interested in renting out choral music, but doesn't know what standard rates might be. Is there anywhere that  I could find a general pricing guage for such a thing? Any help would be appreciated.....

Blake:  It isn't clear whether your friend wants to be rental SOURCE for music, or wants to be a rental CLIENT, but in either case there is no "standard rate" because there isn't a whole lot of choral music rental going on.  There is one place in Philadephia that, for a membership fee, does rent out choral music, but that's the only one I'm aware of.

It's the orchestra world that is mired in the rental paradigm.  It has never caught on in either the orchestra or choral worlds.

As part of our used choral library, we do rent choral music.  When we started the program we even named it the  RENTAL/RESALE LIBRARY (thinking that rentals particularly of larger works would be a factor.)  We have had the used library for over 20 years.  In terms of frequency of rentals - about once a year.  We haven't bothered changing the name. However if anyone is interested we still rent choral music.  Bill

Check the fees charged by the Drinker Library of the Philadelphia Free Public Library. I rented Honnegger's King David many years back, so I'm certain the fee has changed. Google Drinker Library or the Philadelphia Free Public Library.
