Amaryllis Women's Choir - Christmas concerts Vankleek Hill, Ontario Canada

Location: Ontario, Canada
Choir type: Community Choirs
Voicing: Women
Amaryllis Women's Choir, under the direction of carol and Richard Hague, celebrates the season in a slightly different way this year. In addition to arrangements of Christmas favourites and new soon to become favourites, we have a special guest.
Nicholas Goursky’s musical studies focussed on instrumental performance (flute, bassoon and recorder), Baroque performance practice and composition. During the 1970s he was active as a music teacher and performer in Montreal. Since moving to Eastern Ontario in 1985 Goursky has continued to perform at churches and special events.
There will be introductions during the concert giving some history of the recorders he will be playing and the composers who wrote for them.

We live in a very small rural community and this is the first time we've attempted this kind of programming. It will be interesting to see how well it is received. We certainly have had a lot of enjoyment putting it together.
Everyone welcome!
