Under the direction of Linda Beaupré, the award-winning choirs of Guelph Youth Singers, based in Guelph, Ontario, present a seasonal concert with a watery theme....rivers, rain, ships, canoes, fishermen, Noah’s ark… Canadian composers represented will include R. Murray Schafer, Eleanor Daley, Stephen Hatfield, David Ouchterlony, Connie Kaldor, Willi Zwozdesky, James Gordon, Meghan Quinlan and Sheldon Rose. Special guests include pianist Ken Gee and members of the Suzuki String School of Guelph. Guelph Youth Singers has been recognized with top awards for choral groups from the Guelph Kiwanis Association, and has won further awards at both the Provincial and National levels of the National Festival Association. The programme will be held at Harcourt Memorial United Church (Dean Avenue, Guelph, Ontario) at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. The full programme is listed below.
