Durante, "Pergolesi" Magnificat

Esteemed Listers:

For some time now I have been the author of posts correcting the attribution
of the above work (which I still continue to see incorrectly listed in
program listings here and elsewhere).

Some months ago someone asked me specifically about secondary literature
about this piece and its attribution. As usual, it has taken me *far* too
long to reply, but here are three directly relevant articles, which I post
here as I believe these are of broad general interest:

Dietz, Hanns-Bertold. "Durante, Feo, and Pergolesi: Concerning
Misattributions Among their Sacred Music," 128–143; in *Studi Pergolesiani*
2, ed. Francesco Degrada (Florence: La Nuova Italia, 1988).

Hunt, Jon L. "The Durante-Pergolesi Magnificat," *Choral Journal* 19, no. 7
(1979), 18-21.

_____. "The Durante/'Pergolesi' Magnificat: A New Source," *Music and
Letters* 64, no. 3-4 (1983), 225-28.

Thanks for your patience to you who asked me!

And a Merry, Happy, and a Salubrious Solstice to all!
