Fables of La Fontaine

July 16, 2014 by John Metz Leave a Comment

Three Fables based on popular tunes of the day found in a 17th Century French source.  (See The Fables of La Fontaine, Juilliard Performance Editions, John Metz, Pendragon Press 1986.)  New and catchy words by John Metz.  1. The Fable of the Ant and the Grasshopper  2. Fable of the Peacock and the Nightingale  3.  Fable of the Elephant, the Rat and the Cat.  Narrator required for Fable 3.  Limited use of French language, just enough to give the ‘taste’ and a little practice in another language for the kids.
