Singing & Choral Music

Ever since I can remember I have loved singing; so do the other members of my family and as a consequence I was brought up with a lot of 'informal music education' already at home. Later I learned to play several musical instruments with the effect of only realizing that the voice seemed to be the closest 'instrument' to me.

I ended up in school choir and since that time have experienced various kind of 'intensities' of choral music: I was a member of the very successful choir of the Vienna University of Economics under Johannes Prinz, sang with the choir of the Church Music Faculty at the Vienna University of Music under Erwin Ortner for a short time as well as with Günther Theuring and was a member of the choir of the Catholic Students' Community in Vienna under Hermann Platzer among others.

Together with him I founded a small vocal group called "Vokalensemble Mosaik" in the 90ies; currently a bi-national group (Austrian-Slovaque), it offers a variety of interesting experiences to all its members!

Repertoire suggestions:

Naturally, one's favourites keep changing, but I should like to point you to a list of great pieces from several periods of time which I discovered during my time as a choral soprano. Hopefully, you'll find one or the other gem among the pieces of my list! (If so, I'd be glad to read from you!)

Enjoy!
