Tenor and Bass needed for Professional Octet in Manhattan, NY

A TENOR and a BASS is needed for the professional choir at Christ & St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on West 69th Street in Manhattan.
Members of this professional octet are responsible for learning their parts in advance of the Sunday morning rehearsal. There is no midweek rehearsal. Repertoire consists of traditional music ranging from the 16th-20th centuries. Excellence is expected at all times. The successful candidate will have the following: solid vocal technique, excellent sight-reading ability, the ability to sing with straight-tone and blend, significant church choral experience, as well knowledge and experience of Plainsong and Anglican Chant.
The season begins in September and runs thru June. Quartet/Cantor work is available during the summer months. Pay is $105 per appearance, with higher fees for some special/additional services, concerts etc.
The Sunday rehearsal begins at 9:15 sharp, with the service at 11am. Absences are arranged in consultation with and substitutes are chosen by the Organist & Choirmaster.
