BEAUTY THROUGH BROKENNESS: AN ECUMICAL SERVICE OF SONG
 
Come worship with us as we explore “Beauty through Brokenness.” Together we will acknowledge the brokenness of self, society, and relationships within the hope of reconciliation. You will hear Little Rock area choirs from St. James United Methodist Church, conducted by Tracy DePue; First United Methodist Church, conducted by Kyle Linson; and Exsul, conducted by Michael Ekbladh. Additionally, the renowned choral ensemble from Houston Baptist University, Schola Cantorum, conducted by John Yarrington, will be featured in the service. Choral selections will include; Motherless Child, arranged by Craig Hella Johnson, Melissa Givens, soloist; For the Sake of Our Children, Jeffery Ames; and a commissioned piece from Exsul by composer Daniel Gawthrop. Terry York, Professor of Christian Ministry and Church Music at Baylor University’s Truett Seminary will write and present interpretations of each theme and section of the service.
